“Food is not just something that one puts into one’s mouth for body nourishment or pleasure, it has also a spiritual dimension. If  this is not understood then nothing else is understood either.” Controversial Cook

ontroversial Cook wouldn’t be complete if it didn’t consider the issue of eating disorders.  Most food writers only write about recipes, restaurants and never or rarely about other food related topics of social and personal growth or environmental importance which I think that reduces the subject of food to a form of plain and shallow entertainment. There is much more to food than eating buying and cooking it, In fact food is linked to every human activity.

Eating disorders such as anorexia, obesity, bulimia and orthorexia are widespread problems typical of our age that cause a lot of suffering and deaths.  As mentioned in the page titled About Me I also have a website titled  This is a healing approach to mental and physical health that I have developed through decades of study and dedication and comprises the health side of eating.

In this context mneme9 offers innovative ways of effectively tackling eating disorders with a variety of simple approaches, insights such as motivating visual works, physical and mental exercises and easy to follow therapies such as self hypnosis that can be very helpful to individuals people suffering from such debilitating and life destroying conditions.

  1. What worthy enterprises! I agree with you that there is a need for educating and motivating people about the importance of food, cooking and above all proper eating with creative incentives rather than only give them mere suoerficial entertainment as it’s commonly done nowadays – Elio Curione (ex restaurateur – Broadstairs, Kent)
